ANDREJS APSĪTIS
Latvia

A member of 2ANNAS board for several years. Director, director of photography and scriptwriter of documentaries. Andrejs has directed 36 films and been a camera man for 20 documentaries. Latvian representative in Eurimages European co-production fund.

CHRISTOPHER HALES
United Kingdom

Specialist in exploring the 'interactive moving image', as practitioner, educator and researcher. His PhD "Rethinking the Interactive Movie" was successfully completed in October 2006. Currently based in the 'SMARTlab' centre of the University of East London as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow. His cdroms have been selected at numerous film/multimedia festivals, and his touch-screen installation (showing a dozen or more of his interactive films) has been presented in Seoul, Helsinki, Warsaw, Nagoya, San Francisco and Sydney. Recent projects include 'Cause and Effect' and an AHRB-funded research project in Prague to rediscover the "Kinoautomat" from 1967 - the world's first interactive movie.

ELVITA RUKA
Latvia

Art historian by education, previously worked as culture journalist and event producer. Takes active part in documentary cinema creation since year 2000. Script writer and producer for more than 10 films, shown on prestige TV channels and awarded in different international festivals. Prize-winning movie “Tārps” (Worm) (director Andis Mizišs) was announced “Best Baltic Documentary” at festival “Arsenāls” in 2006. Her book “Warm-hearted dogs” is dedicated to documentary shooting adventures in Russia. First feature film with Elvita Ruka’s script will be finished in 2008.

VILNIS KALNAELLIS
Latvia/ Latvija

Director and producer of RIJA Film Studio. Since 2007. – president of Latvian Film Makers Association. In year 2007 received CARTOON association nomination „Best European animation film producer“ for RIJA Film Studio, represents Latvia in board of CARTOON. Produced numerous latvian and international co-production films, including „Lote from Gadgetville“. Have received 27 awards in different international and local festivals.

JĀNIS PUTNIŅŠ
Latvia

Born on 1967 in Latvia, went to art schools abroad. More than 10 years works and performs in Latvia. During these years had directed great amounts of video ads, as well as several full-length feature film. Sometimes writes articles about cinema.

FLORIAN OPITZ
Germany

Freelance documentary filmmaker, author and journalist. Since 1998 Florian has been working as a freelance filmmaker and journalist for several European TV stations, amongst others, for ARD, ARTE and ZDF. Florian so far has made SEVERAL political documentaries, mainly about globalisation related subjects, and historical documentaries, next to films about Jack Kerouac, Charles de Gaulle, Naomi Klein, the history of the skinhead-movement and several more. Since 2000 he is working on a doctor’s thesis in German History. Florian has been teaching documentary film classes in different German universities.

Director, actor, event manager. Studies at Latvian Culture Academy, MA, audiovisual art. Winner of International Short film competition Future Shorts, 2007. Winner of 2Annas' Grand Prix 2007. Nominated for the World's Best Short Film Award in animation and short film festival World Short Film Award, New York.

DĀVIS KAŅEPE
LATVIA

Studies at Latvian Culture Academy, department of dramaturgy. Have studied architecture and design in Italy. Since 2002 organizer of noncommercial culture festival „rozaa peldbaseins” (Pink Swimmingpool). Hitchhiked more than 20 000 km traveling through Europe, Argentina, Brazil, Namibia, Georgia. Winner of 2007 2Anna's Baltic short film competition.

LATVIA

Editor of film department in Veto magazine. Studies at Latvian Culture Academy MA Audiovisual art as well as in Proffesional Photography school. Worked with development of International Film Festival Arsenals and European Documentary Cinema Simposium.

Animator, artist, DJ, works in advertising. Winner of 2Annas festival in 2006, in 2007 received 2Anna's audience award.
