Nordic Toolbox

MAY 24 - 25, Riga (as part of the International Short Film Festival 2ANNAS)

Baltic and Nordic short film symposium "Nordic Toolbox" is an event aimed at young aspiring short film professionals.
It is going to be held for two days, May 24th - 25th 2011, and will give a chance to meet and get inspiration from Nordic film professionals and experts.
The project will be highly beneficial to any industry member, and we warmly welcome everyone to join the inspiring event!

The project aims to discover Nordic experience in finding new, creative ways of producing, distributing, and perceiving short film by involving experienced Nordic film professionals – the symposium would create conditions and an environment for a creative, effective and experiment-friendly platform for up-coming and experienced professional filmmakers from the Baltic and Nordic countries and contribute to their professional and creative development in the field of film art.
The project involves a non-traditional, original form of symposium and contemporary themes important for the film professionals from Northern European countries. Many young filmmakers from Nordic countries have demonstrated that it is possible to successfully work with unconventional methods so their participation would be beneficial to Baltic young filmmakers. Symposium would act as a symbolic toolbox. The purpose of a toolbox is to organize, carry, and protect the owner's tools used for trade or hobby, this time filmmakers' tools to create their artworks.
