SPECIAL SCREENING OF “Stanley Kubrick: A Life in Pictures” WITH THE DIRECTOR

The film tells a captivating story about Stanley Kubrick’s life. Featuring clips from his home movies and photographs from Look magazine. Through interviews with people who have been involved in each of his projects, this film looks at Kubrick’s contribution to the cinema. Harlan also talks about unfinished films by Kubrick with clips from the films, behind the scenes photos and footage. Kubrick is shown as a beloved friend and co-worker and not a solitary despot.

Jan Harlan joined Stanley Kubrick in 1969 for a film on Napoleon, which was abandoned. He later was Executive Producer on all Kubrick films from Barry Lyndon onwards and worked on other unrealised projects with Stanley Kubrick in-between. Jan is a guest-lecturer at many different film-schools around the globe and often serves in juries at film-competitions.
